I went to Dot to Dot festival in Nottingham yesterday and it was by far the best gig I’ve been to. I was right at the front for nearly all of the bands (even Wavves) and I loved every second of it. My friends and I was dancing with Frank Carter and the guitarist from Pure Love and it just felt like a party.
Then Wavves were on afterwards and they played the best set, started with King Of The Beach, it included really early stuff like from the 2009 album ‘Wavvves’, then obviously they played a load of songs from ‘King Of The Beach’, then they played I Wanna Meet Dave Grohl and Bug and some other songs from their ‘Life Sux’ EP. It was perfect. Then I got a setlist. Afterwards when me, Alex and Chloe were out of the room, The whole band walked past, Alex spotted them, and I just followed them like a right fangirl/stalker. And he was, honestly, the sweetest guy I have ever met, so polite and cute, and little. I actually love him. And he spotted I was wearing a Wavves top and he said it was a good look for me (nearly fainted and ran away with him).
But, yeah, it was such a rad day! Fucking loved it so much! Neck and shoulders kill, like.
